Unflattering, asymmetrical or small breasts can often leave women feeling insecure and uncomfortable in their own bodies. Small and saggy boobs tend to have both a physical and mental effect and can negatively impact a woman’s health and well-being.
Breast augmentation offers women the opportunity to improve their breast volume and shape and experience the beautiful breasts they have always desired.
At HR Plastic Surgery in London, we offer several breast augmentation techniques. Our lead surgeon Mr Ridha has performed many successful breast enlargement procedures and is highly sought after.
Breast augmentation often referred to as a boob job or breast enlargement is often pursued to enhance naturally small breasts or rejuvenate breasts that have lost volume post-pregnancy, breastfeeding and/or weight loss.
Breast augmentation (enlargement) enhances the size and shape of the breast using implants, fat or a combination of both.

How is a breast enlargement
procedure performed?
The procedure is performed under general anaesthetic. Breast implants are placed either behind the breast tissue (subglandular) or partly under the muscle (dual plane) through a discrete small incision in the breast fold (inframammary fold). The resultant scar is hidden in the breast crease.
Breast fat grafting involves taking fat by gentle liposuction from areas where there is excess, typically the abdomen, flanks and thighs.
The fat is purified and injected into the breast to increase the volume and correct any contour irregularities. This technique can be used alone to increase the breast size or combined with an implant (composite breast augmentation), creating a more natural look and feel.
Recovery time
Recovery from breast augmentation surgery takes about six weeks. Patients should avoid strenuous activity, lifting heavy objects, and participating in high-impact activities during this time. They should also avoid wearing underwired bras.
Most people feel well enough to return to work within one to two weeks after surgery.
Patients will likely have some swelling after surgery. This is normal and will usually resolve over the course of several weeks. Some numbness may also be experienced in the breasts, which is also expected and does improve over time.
