Skin lesions
Skin lesions are lumps found on or below the skin.

The majority of such lesions are benign, meaning they are not life-threatening and are removed if they are causing pain, discomfort or simply for cosmetic reasons.
Examples of such lesions include:
- Epidermoid cysts (Sebaceous Cysts)
- Lipoma/Lipomata (fatty lumps)
- Papillomas (Skin tags)
- Dermatofibromas
- Moles
During your consultation, Mr Ridha will assess your lesion, with a dermatoscope to confirm the diagnosis prior to explaining your treatment options. Such benign lesions are usually removed surgically under local anaesthetic as day case procedures.
