Ear pinning (pinnaplasty/
otoplasty)
Ears come in different shapes and sizes. Variations, such as prominence can be a cause of embarrassment and can affect one’s self-confidence. A pinnaplasty, also known as ‘otoplasty’ or ‘ear pinning’, is a procedure that improves the appearance of your ears by correcting any protrusion or disproportion.

There are different types of pinnaplasty and Mr Ridha will select the most appropriate technique to achieve a natural appearance. Mr Ridha will assess the features of your ears, discuss your concerns and expectations before developing a tailored plan unique to your ideals to achieve an improved aesthetic outcome.
A pinnaplasty is performed under local or general anaesthetic. Small incisions are made in the natural crease behind the ear to expose the cartilage. The cartilage is then sculpted and/or folded using sutures to reshape and set back the ear to the desired position.
