45-year old lady underwent a right mastectomy for carcinoma of her right breast. She underwent an immediate (at the time of mastectomy) DIEP flap breast reconstruction and simultaneous left symmetrising reduction. Her reconstruction was completed with a right nipple reconstruction using a nipple share technique. Preoperative and 2-year postoperative photographs shown.
39 yr old lady had previously undergone a right mastectomy for carcinoma of her right breast. She simultaneously underwent an implant-based reconstruction of her right breast and left symmetrising mastopexy (lift) procedure performed by her previous surgeon. Unfortunately, her breast implant had to be removed due to radiotherapy related complications. She subsequently underwent a right DIEP flap breast reconstruction thereby creating a breast mound to match the volume and shape of her contralateral breast, as shown in her 4-year postoperative photographs.
